About the Artist

I was born in London and moved to New Zealand in 1999, having lived in many inspiring places and travelling extensively. The New Zealand South island colours and energy feature a lot in my works, but my inspiration comes from a variety of places, including the eggshell techniques of Vietnam, the meticulous patterns of Tibetan mandalas, and the ochre colours of Aboriginal art. A hint of tribal art and my own mixed media inventions are now dominating my most popular works.
Coming from an artistic family I have experimented with various art mediums for most of my life. My work is often dreamlike and melodramatic, exploring how we remember places and our emotional links to them. I try to encapsulate the vibration of my surroundings, and put my own intense emotional energy into them .
